If you bought yourself an inkjet printer and began to actively use it, then over time you will find that the printer began to print worse, some colors began to disappear, and shortcomings began to appear. And this despite the fact that you clean the nozzles of the printheads regularly. There is only one conclusion - the cartridges are running out of ink (ink). Manufacturers recommend buying new cartridges in this case, the price of which reaches 3/4 of the cost of the printer itself. At the same time, cartridges can be successfully refilled with ink dozens of times. We will consider the principle of refueling using the examples of Canon cartridges.
Necessary
- - a set of colored ink for the printer in syringes of 20 ml - 1;
- -black ink for the printer, bottle 250 ml - 1;
- - syringe for black ink 10 ml - 1;
- -thin awl.
Instructions
Step 1
In any city there is a company that provides services for refilling inkjet printer cartridges. Go there and for a certain fee they will refill your cartridges, taking money from you both for the work and for the paint itself. If you dream of learning how to refill cartridges yourself, get ink for a color cartridge first. It is better to buy paint packaged in syringes of 20 milliliters. You can see such a set in the photo on the left. There are 3 syringes - 3 colors, namely red, yellow and cyan (blue). In color printing, these inks are automatically mixed to produce any other desired colors. The syringes are equipped with needles.
Step 2
In the same store, purchase black ink for the black cartridge. Take more of it, especially if you often print various texts, copies of documents, etc. Take the paint in a 250 ml bottle. This capacity will last the life of your black cartridge. In any case, whether you are buying colored paint or black, look at the labels on the paint packaging. There should be indicated information for which brand cartridges this paint is intended. Always use original ink that is suitable for your printer's cartridges.
Step 3
Unpack the colored ink syringes and attach the needles to them. Remove the color cartridge from the printer. On top of the cartridge you will see a label with its marking, remove it. Below it are 3 holes in the plastic housing of the cartridge. Take a thin awl and widen each of them slightly so that the syringe needle goes through the holes with a small air gap. On the packaging with colored paints there is an instruction and a drawing of a top view of the cartridge without a label. It indicates the color of paint and which hole to fill. You can determine this without the picture. Lower one needle at a time into each of the holes. Take out the needles and slide each needle over the paper. The needles will each leave a different color (red, yellow and blue). Pour 5-8 ml of the correct color paint into each hole very slowly with the appropriate syringe. Then cover the top of the holes with the old label or tape and put the cartridge back into the printer. Then remove the black cartridge from the printer and remove the label from it. There will be only one hole under it. Expand it a little. Take a fresh syringe, draw 10 milliliters of black paint from the bottle and slowly pump it into the cartridge. Cover the hole with the label and install the cartridge into the printer. Do everything quickly, as cartridges dry quickly outdoors.
