The quality of the selected toner and the correct refilling of the cartridge significantly affect the print quality and durability of the printer. It is very difficult to do this work at home, especially if you need to refill a cartridge for Xerox. The fact is that this model requires increased attention and caution.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a table for refilling the cartridge. Spread some newspapers on top of it. Detach the cartridge from the Xerox printer and place the large part of the photoconductor unit down with the filler plug on your left. Unscrew the five self-tapping screws and pry off the two latches on the part of the case closest to you. Open the top cover of the cartridge. Unscrew three more screws from the end sides and remove the side covers. Remove and set aside the charging shaft. Unscrew the felt, then carefully detach the drum unit and put it aside in a cloth. Remove the contact spring, if available on your Xerox model, and unfasten the metering blade.
Step 2
Place toner and other debris in a separate newspaper. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dispensing blade and the entire inner surface of the toner cartridge. Reinstall the metering blade. Wipe the side covers and the contact parts of the shafts with a cloth. Lubricate the latter with conductive grease.
Step 3
Fasten the contact spring into place. Using a dry, clean, lint-free cloth, gently wipe the drum unit and charge roller and reinstall them. Never touch these parts with your fingers. If this happens, gently wipe off your prints. Collect the remaining cartridge parts.
Step 4
Close the top cover of the Xerox cartridge and open the fill port. Prepare a funnel. It can be either a special device or a sheet of thick paper curled into a cone. Pour about 80-85 g of toner through the funnel into the filler hole. Close the plug and wipe the outer contacts of the cartridge with alcohol. Rotate the cartridge in opposite directions - toner should not spill out. You can now install it into your Xerox printer. Run a test print to check the quality of your job.
