HP c3906a and hp c4092a cartridges are used in many HP LaserJet printers. Their design is simple, so the user can refill the cartridges himself.
Instructions
Step 1
To refill the cartridge, you need to divide it into two halves: place it on one of the ends. On the side of the cartridge is the tip of the pin that connects the two halves. You need to push it into the cartridge. Do this with an awl or something similar. Putting the awl on the end of the pin, apply a not very strong, but sharp blow to it.
Step 2
If the pin does not budge, repeat this step several times. Repeat the same with the second pin on the opposite end. Divide the cartridge into two halves. Take the half that has the drum unit. Use pliers to remove the pin located on the gear side of the drum unit. Bend the drum a little and pull it out.
Step 3
Remove the charge shaft. It is held in two plastic sleeves. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two screws securing the cleaning blade and remove it. Clean the contents of the waste toner box. Wipe the cleaning blade and charge roller with a tissue. Then reassemble half of the cartridge in reverse order. Powder the edge of the cleaning blade. Once installed, the drum unit should turn with a little effort.
Step 4
Take half of the magnetic roller cartridge. At the end where there are no gears, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screw and separate the cover from the half of the cartridge. Remove the plastic cover that covers the toner fill slot. You will need approximately 140 grams of HP 1200 toner to refill the cartridge. Shake the container thoroughly before adding toner.
Step 5
Use a funnel to pour toner inside half of the cartridge. Then close the plug. Align the two halves of the cartridge together and insert the retaining pins so that the edges line up with the body.
