Instructions
Step 1
Get all the benefits of using the scanner by installing the scanner on your computer. Many modern scanners support the automatic installation function, after you connect and turn on the scanner, the system will automatically detect it and install the driver. Install hardware manually if automatic detection fails.
Step 2
Connect the scanner to your computer, turn it on and boot the Windows XP operating system, go to the main menu, select the "Control Panel" command. Double click on the Scanners and Cameras icon to connect and install the scanner. Select the Scanners icon to navigate to the desired folder. It describes all the imaging devices connected to your computer. If the scanner that you connected is not here, you need to install the scanner in the XP system. Double-click the Add Hardware icon and the Connect Scanner Wizard will open.
Step 3
In the first window of the "Installation Wizard" select the manufacturer of the scanner, then in the next field select the specific model of your scanner. Click "Next". Select the "Search for driver on removable device" option. Click the Browse button and select the scanner driver disc that came with your scanner. Click OK. It searches for the required drivers to connect the scanner. Go to the next window by clicking the "Next" button, in the next window select the "Automatic port selection" option. Click Next. Enter the name of your scanner, it is under it that the scanner will be displayed in all windows, folders and dialogs where it will be used. Click "Next". In the next window, click Finish. Reboot your computer.
