To connect a microphone, your computer must be equipped with a sound card. A sound card is a device that allows your computer to play sounds. It is she who provides communication and microphone connection. speakers, musical instruments, etc. Modern computers are equipped with a sound card by default. But, if you have an old version of the computer, then it may not be there. Then get at least a 16-bit sound card.
Step 3
The computer also needs speakers. If you do not have speakers, then the computer will not be able to play sound. Most modern computers have small built-in speakers. But for better sound reproduction, it is better to purchase good speakers.
Step 4
Connecting a microphone. The sound card slot is located behind the back of the system unit. Plug the microphone cord into the "jack". There is usually a microphone icon next to it. Or the jack is the same color as the connector on the microphone. If the microphone has a switch, turn it on.
Step 5
Sound recording. Click the Start button, select All Programs, then - Accessories - Entertainment, then - Sound Recorder. To start recording, click the button with the red circle located in the lower right corner. To end recording, click the button with the black square. To play the recording, click on the button with one black arrow. Recordings can be edited using the Edit and Effects menu. To save the entry, select the File - Save As menu. Navigate to the location where you want to save the recording and give it a name. Now you can play it whenever you want.
