One of the most important and expensive parts of a laptop is its matrix. Often she lets you know about her problems with stripes and spots on the screen, changing the brightness of the backlight. Its replacement can be avoided if the necessary measures are taken in time. If you have certain skills and knowledge, you can repair the matrix at home.

Instructions
Step 1
Unscrew all existing screen mounts to the laptop case, remove the frame from the monitor. Please note that in some models, various plugs are placed on the part of the screen fasteners in order to improve the appearance. Locate the ribbon cable leading to the motherboard, make sure it is properly connected to the monitor, as it is often the cause of image problems. Also make sure it is in good condition.
Step 2
If the problem is not in the connection of the loops or in the backlight lamps, then find the inverter located at the bottom of the screen. Lift it up to disconnect the high voltage wires between the motherboard and the backlight. Put a new inverter to replace the old one, reassemble the laptop in the reverse order.
Step 3
If the cause of the breakdown is the failure of the backlight lamps, then remove the adhesive tape connecting the lower part of the matrix and the screen lamp cable. Disconnect the decoder panel located at the very base of the screen - be extremely careful here, do not damage the loops - otherwise all your repairs will end with the purchase of a completely new matrix. After that, remove the filters, and then, holding the base of the wire, disconnect it from the old backlight.
Step 4
Before fixing the lamp in a new place, be sure to check its condition - this will allow you once again not to jeopardize the safety of your matrix. If the part works properly, reinstall it.
Step 5
Assemble the monitor. For the convenience of repairing the matrix, it is recommended that all spare parts removed from the monitor screen in the process be laid out in the order of their disassembly. Do not forget about caution - the design of the parts is fragile and one wrong movement can cost you a huge investment in purchasing a new one.
