There are many tests to check the health and performance of computer components. There are highly specialized tests, there are tests for analyzing the entire computer. Some of them are paid, some are available for free download.

Instructions
Step 1
Decide exactly how you want to test the processor. If you are interested in a processor as an independent component of a computer, use Atomic CPU Test, BencHMax, BurnMax, CPUBENCH and others. Do not use programs that are too old, as they may not contain information about the processor that is on your computer.
Step 2
Download CPU Tester Pro if you want to test the performance of your computer as a whole, as well as the processor in combination with other major components, that is, RAM, motherboard chipset. Install the program on your hard drive. Run the executable installation module. Follow all the steps offered by the application setup wizard in sequence.
Step 3
The Diagnostic section displays the main list of test modules. To start basic testing, click on the Run Test button. During testing, the processor performance will be displayed as a percentage, as well as the end time of the test. To test the components in stress mode, go to the Burn-in section. These tests are designed to detect defects in the processor and RAM. To run the test, click on the Run CPU Burn-in or Run Memory Burn-in button.
Step 4
The Benchmark section contains about 50 different synthetic tests. To run this section, click on the Run Benchmark button. Pay attention to the System Info sections, which display detailed information about the system, as well as the Hot CPU Tester. This program supports the latest processor models. The program can be updated via the Internet, however, for this, the personal computer must have an active connection and a normal download speed.
