DVD images are used to distribute programs and movies that consist of multiple files, splitting which will make installation or viewing impossible. To mount a DVD image, you need to install and configure special software on your computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install a special disk imaging program called Daemon Tools on your computer. This program is distributed in paid and free versions. The functions of the free program are quite enough for mounting a DVD image at home. Download its distribution kit at https://www.daemon-tools.cc/rus/home. When installing the free version of the program, pay attention to the fact that ad modules can be copied to your computer along with it. Disable their installation by unchecking the corresponding checkboxes. After installing the program, restart your computer
Step 2
Please note that after restarting the computer, the Daemon Tools program will be loaded along with the system and will start its work in the background, which will be signaled by the program icon in the system tray. Go to the program settings by right-clicking on this icon. In the settings, select the "Emulation" command. Then select the All Options Enabled context menu command. The operating system will then detect the virtual CD-ROM drive, which will appear in all file managers.
Step 3
To mount a DVD image, left-click on the button labeled "Drive 0: [X:] Empty" in the main program window. The built-in file manager window will open. Specify the path to the DVD image zipped in.iso or.mdf format. Then open the "My Computer" folder (or the file manager Total commander) and make sure that one of the new virtual CD drives "contains" the disc image you have opened. Launching a virtual DVD is the same as launching a standard CD.
