While working on the Internet, a user can accidentally close a page that was difficult to find. To restore a closed tab, it is not necessary to search from the very beginning, you just need to correctly configure the browser and be able to use its tools.
Instructions
Step 1
In Mozilla Firefox, select Options from the Tools menu. A new dialog box will open. Go to the tab "Privacy". In the "History" group, in the Firefox field, use the drop-down list to set the "Will remember history" value. Click the OK button to save the changes.
Step 2
This will allow the browser to remember the addresses of the sites you visited. Now, to return an accidentally closed tab, you just need to call the appropriate command. Click on the "History" item in the top menu bar and select the "Recently closed tabs" sub-item in the context menu.
Step 3
A list of addresses of Internet pages that have been visited by you during the current session will unfold. Select the required line in the submenu by clicking on it with the left mouse button. The mistakenly closed page will be restored in a new tab. If the tab you are looking for is not in the list, call the "Library" window. To do this, in the "Log" menu, select "Show entire log". In the dialog box that opens, select the required time period: today or yesterday, week or desired month.
Step 4
After you click on the corresponding item with the left mouse button, a list with the addresses of all the sites you have visited will open. Having found the required address, double-click on it with the left mouse button. Be careful: the site from the list opens in the current tab. If this does not suit you, right-click on the address and select "Open in new tab" from the context menu.
Step 5
Internet Explorer also has a browser history. To set the length of time it stores site addresses, select Internet Options from the Tools menu. In the "Browsing history" group, click on the "Options" button. In the additional window, specify the number of days to store the log pages and apply the new settings.
Step 6
To revert to the last closed tab, choose Reopen Last Browsing from the Tools menu. To find the required address in the journal, click on the button with an asterisk, and make the "Journal" tab active. Then proceed in the same way as described for Firefox.
