All computer users must have discs with games and programs. These disks can be captured and mounted to virtual drives. That is, you will receive a file with an exact copy of the disk. It can be stored on your hard drive. Mounted disks have a faster access speed, and images can be used at any time, even if the original disk is missing.

Step 1
It is best to mount the image using the Alcohol emulator. This program has a simple and intuitive interface. You need to download the Alcohol program and install it on your computer.

You will have to make some settings yourself. In the menu open "Tools" and "Options". In the open window you need to find "Virtual Disk". The number of required virtual disks is indicated there.

After that, they set up the association of images with the Alcohol program. In the "Virtual Disk" window, find "File Association". Everything except "RAR" is marked there. The settings made are saved by clicking the OK button.
Step 4
After working with the settings, proceed to mount the image. Find "Open" in the menu, where you need to specify the path to the disk. The image is added to the program.
Step 5
Right-click on it with your mouse and select "mount to device". This is how the image itself is dismantled.
Step 6
You can mount the image directly from Windows Explorer. Open the folder with the image, and so by the right mouse button we find "Mount Image".
Step 7
Installation of the image is also performed with the Daemon Tools program. After installation, click the emulator icon with the left mouse button. A window should appear.

Choose the file you need for editing and open it.
Step 9
Then you can start working with the virtual drive. Usually images are mounted in ISO. Everything is done in the same way with other formats. If all the information has been preserved, the image must be unmounted.
Hover over Daemon Tools and click LMB. In the window, click "Unmount all drives".
