Malfunctions can occur in video files, as a result of which there is an increasing gap between the audio track and the image. This defect is called progressive desynchronization of sound.
Instructions
Step 1
You can fix such a video file using the Cool Edit Pro program. Download Cool Edit Pro to your computer. As a rule, the download link for this application can be found through any Internet search service. You can also download it from softodrom.ru or soft.ru. Before working with downloaded files, check them with an antivirus program. Unzip the files and install the program.
Step 2
Start Cool Edit Pro and select the Multitrack mode (to do this, press the F12 key). Then open the video file you want to edit in the program. To do this, select the menu item Insert - Video from file. Specify the location of the file and wait while the program downloads it.
Step 3
Move the slider to the end of the video track and watch the total time of the video - convert the value to seconds. Switch to the audio track edit mode by pressing F12 again or the Edit view button.
Step 4
Again, move the slider to the end of the track and look at its duration. To change this parameter, go to the Effect menu item, select Time / Pitch and Stretch. In the Length field, enter a length for the video track and click OK. Save the resulting audio track as a separate audio file using the File - Save as item (the program can use the wav format).
Step 5
You just need to convert the resulting file to mp3 (for example, using the CDex program) and combine it with the video image (for example, using Virtual Dub). These two operations can be performed immediately in Virtual Dub, but it will take a little longer. You can use other third party software as well.
