In order to adjust the sound to the video, you need to use a program that can edit digital video, or an application for synchronizing audio and video tracks.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch a video editing program with the function of splitting audio and video tracks. For example, Apple's iMovie editor (for Mac) or Adobe Premiere (for PC). Import the video file into the program by selecting Import from the File menu. When the Import window opens, navigate to the folder on your hard drive where the file is stored and double-click on it.
Step 2
Click on the first video clip created from the imported video, then use the Shift and down arrow keys to move down and select all clips from the video file. When all clips are selected, click on any clip and drag it to the timeline to move all video clips in the correct order.
Step 3
Click on the "+" symbol next to the track labeled Video to display the Audio track. Right click on the Video or Audio track and select the Unlink option to split the audio and video into two separate rows.
Step 4
Move the clips to the right to play the audio track later. Or move the clips to the left so that the audio track plays earlier. To move the first clip to the left, first click on the left edge of the clip and drag it slightly to the right to create a little space.
Step 5
Check the synchronization of audio and video sequences when moving clips by clicking the Play button on the preview screen. Once the audio and video are playing in sync, select the Export option from the File menu. Enter a file name, click the Browse button to select a folder to save the video, and click the Export button.
Step 6
To match audio to video using a sync application, download and install an appropriate software such as AV-Sync or VirtualDub. From the File menu, select the Open option. Go to the folder that contains the video file and double click on it to add to the program interface.
Step 7
Go to the auto sync function. In AV-Sync, this function is located under the Sync tab. In VirtualDub, click Video - Sync. Select an auto-sync option by clicking the Automatic button in AV-Sync or Change video and audio to match in VirtualDub. Click OK to return to the main program screen. Select Save or Apply from the File menu, enter the file name in the window that appears, and press Enter.
