The safe operation of your computer directly depends on the effective operation of the antivirus program. Installing an antivirus alone is not enough. Due to the fact that new computer viruses appear every day, it is also necessary to update the protection of your computer.
Necessary
Computer, nod32 antivirus program, flash drive, internet access
Instructions
Step 1
You can update nod32 directly from your computer via the Internet. To do this, find the nod32 icon in the lower right corner of the screen image (near the date and time). The shape of the pictogram (icon) is similar to the eye. Move the mouse over this image and double-click on it with the left button. This will take you to the nod32 program menu.
Step 2
In the menu, go to the "Update" line, then to the "Username and password settings" line. In the window that appears, fill in the "Username" and "Password" lines and click the "OK" button. Username and password data can be downloaded from the Internet by making a request in a search engine. After the lines are filled in, left-click on the line "Update virus signature database". If the keys (username and password) are working, the message "Antivirus databases have been successfully updated" will appear. If such an inscription does not appear, then in the "License Information" dialog box, write down other keys that can be downloaded on the Internet.
Step 3
You can also update nod32 using a USB flash drive. To do this, from a computer that has Internet access, download the nod32 antivirus databases to a USB flash drive. To do this, first create a folder on the PC where the antivirus will be updated. Next, copy the databases from the flash drive to the created folder. After that, configure the antivirus to offline mode by double-clicking on the nod32 icon with the left mouse button. In the window that appears at the bottom left, switch to advanced mode.
Step 4
Then click on the "Settings" line and go to the "Enter the entire tree of advanced parameters" line. In the list that appears on the left, click on the "Update" line.
Step 5
Next, click the "Change" button, which is located on the right side of the dialog box. Add databases from a specially created folder and click "OK". After that, nod32 will be updated. Successful update will be confirmed by a corresponding message. For subsequent updates, the old databases must be deleted from the folder and replaced with new ones.
