Step 1
How do you load these features? First you need to download a program that can open the e-book file. This can be done from this official site https://www.stdutility.com/stduviewer.html. Follow the link above. On this page, find the inscription “Download free portable STDU Viewer (2 MB)”. This is a simplified version, easy to use. Click on the name and save the file. In this case, the archive is on your computer.
Step 2
Next, open the downloaded archive and unpack it. This can be done by right-clicking (or left-clicking, if you have an inversion) on the archive, then clicking on the "Extract files to the current folder" inscription. Some older versions of archivers do not have this button, so it is possible to do this by selecting all files, and then simply dragging them into this folder. You do not need to install anything, everything is already done for you.
Step 3
Now just run the “STDUViewerApp.exe” file. Then, according to the following scheme, open the book: File => open, then find the required file-book, click on it and in the bottom left in the small window, click the "Open" button. After the performed operation, you will have the text of this book on a white background.
Step 4
Also, this program has several settings that you can use for convenience. This is, for example, text selection. Suppose you are reading an e-book and suddenly the thought of food comes to you. So as not to search for where you left off, find the icon with the cursor and a small dotted square at the bottom. When you hover over it, it says “Select Text Tool”. Click on it, and then, while holding the left mouse button (or right, if you have an inversion), select the sentence or word you left off. When you arrive, simply left-click anywhere else free from the text, the white background - the selection will disappear and you can continue reading further, without unnecessary difficulties and wasting time looking for where you left off.
Step 5
Also in this program there is a zoom function, or zoom. The icon is depicted as a + sign, circled and at the bottom of the icon with a dotted square. By clicking on it, and then on your so-called “sheet”, you will zoom in on the image of the text. To return to the original scale, find the inscription “500%” on the left, double-click on it with the left mouse button and enter the value “100%”. The image is now resized to its original size.
