Time is the main resource for any person. And this resource is constantly in short supply. A good and reliable alarm clock will help you avoid oversleeping work, school or other important event. And we can make an alarm clock from our own computer. We will consider the Windows XP operating system, since it is the most common among users.
Instructions
Step 1
If the computer is not already turned on, turn it on. If it is enabled, and the operating system is already functioning, we reboot.
Step 2
Even before the first screen with the inscriptions appears, we need to press the Delete button on the keyboard, which will bring up the menu of the basic BIOS I / O system.
Step 3
We select the item "Power Management Setup" in the menu, press the Enter key. In the next menu, look for the "Resume by Alarm" section and set it to Enabled. Below we set the date and time of our awakening. After setting the time, press Escape. Before exiting the BIOS, you need to save the data. We do this by selecting and pressing the main menu item "Save & Exit Setup" and confirming by pressing the Enter key. Can be made easier by pressing F10.
Step 4
The computer restarts, and the wake-up time has already been fixed. The last thing we need to do is choose any melody or movie that we like, which will wake us up. Create a shortcut to the melody we have chosen to wake up and place it in the Startup folder, which can be found in the Start menu.
Step 5
At the time appointed by us, the computer will turn on itself, load the operating system, which will launch our melody or film.
