Instructions
Step 1
After the information has been deleted from the flash drive, it is important not to write anything to it. This will greatly increase the chances of successful data recovery. But even if you managed to write something down, the chances of a successful outcome are quite high.
Step 2
To recover information, you need to download the TuneUp Utilities utility. The program is paid, but you can find a trial version. Download and install the utility. You need to download one of the newest versions.
Step 3
Insert the USB flash drive from which the information will be restored into the computer. Run the program. After the first launch, it will start testing your computer. Wait a few minutes for the testing process to finish. After that, you will find yourself in the main menu of the program. Go to the "Fix problems" tab. In the window that opens, select "Recover Deleted Files".
Step 4
Now in the next window, check the box for your flash drive, and if the hard drive partitions are ticked off, uncheck them. This localizes the program to work exclusively on your flash drive. Then proceed further. If you are looking for a specific file, then in the line "File criterion" enter its name, you can approximate. You can also enter the file extension. If you need to restore the information as a whole, then leave the "Search criteria" line empty. Click Next.
Step 5
After that, the file recovery process will begin. At the end of it, a window will appear with a list of files that can be restored. Select those that you need, then click "Restore" at the bottom of the window. Then select the item "Restore to the specified folder". Specify a location to restore. It can be directly a USB flash drive or any other folder on the hard drive of the computer. Then click OK and the files will be restored.
