In large offices, installing the operating system on computers takes a long time. However, it is not so much time that the installation of Windows takes as it is to configure settings for each user. Moreover, the parameters are similar, and in some cases completely identical.
Instructions
Step 1
The developers of the Windows operating system added the ability to copy and move user profiles, and, accordingly, all the settings of these profiles. Rename the Default User folder.
This folder is located on the system drive. Go to the system drive (by default drive C:). And go to the "Documents and Settings" folder. This is where the "Default User" folder should be. Left-click on this folder and select "Rename" in the drop-down list. Then set a new name for the folder.
Note: the "Default User" folder is hidden, so you must first enable the display of hidden files and folders.
Step 2
Rename the folder with the old user whose profile you want to transfer. To do this, go to the following path "C: Documents and Settings". Left-click on the name of the old profile, select "Rename" and enter the folder name: "Default User".
Step 3
Create a new Windows user and log in with his account. In this case, all the settings for the new user profile will be taken from the "Default User" folder, and as you remember, you had to move the profile of this particular folder. Note: all of the above actions must be performed from the administrator account and it should not be the same account the record whose settings you want to transfer.
