Most often they are created to increase the stability of the operating system, but sometimes they are done for the convenience of using one hard disk or portable media by several people at the same time. Step 1
To perform operations with hard disk partitions, you need Powerquest Partition Magic. Install it on your computer or laptop and reboot your device. This will allow the program to scan hard drives and access their partitions.
Step 2
Run the program. In the "Wizards" tab, find the item "Merge Sections" and run it. A window will open in front of you, visually displaying the number and state of partitions on your hard drives. If you do not plan to format the areas that you plan to merge, then select the sections that you want to merge and click "next".
Step 3
If your plans include formatting and changing the file system of partitions, then before clicking the "next" button, specify the required parameters.
Step 4
Remember that if the file systems of the partitions are different, then they will have to be formatted anyway before merging. The total time of the process of merging partitions directly depends on their volume and degree of employment.
