New products appear on the software market every day, but there are time-tested programs that have been preferred by users for many years. One of these programs is Microsoft Power Point, which has a wonderful feature for inserting soundtracks to slides.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the presentation in Microsoft Power Point to which you want to add sound. If you don't have a finished presentation yet, create a new one. Before adding sound to it, create it completely.
Step 2
Start adding a sound file. You need to add it to the very first slide of your presentation. In the top menu of the program, click the "Insert" - "Movies and Sound" button. Select a sound file for your presentation. You can use the ready-made sounds from the Microsoft Office collection, or you can insert any other audio track. When you add a sound, a window "Play sound automatically or on click?" Will pop up. Choose the option you want. You can adjust this parameter later in the settings. Keep in mind that the sound will be played from exactly where it was saved. Therefore, if you are going to demonstrate a presentation from a portable medium, then save the sound on it and specify the path to it. The fact is that the sound is not attached directly to the presentation, the icon on the slide is just a shortcut.
Step 3
Right-click on the "Animation Settings" top menu item. In the window that appears on the right, select either an audio file from the collection, open the menu. In the "Effect parameters" set from which and on which slide the music should sound. If you want the music to sound from the beginning to the end, specify the first and last slides. Here you can also choose how the sound will be played - automatically or at the click of a mouse. You can also do this by right-clicking on the sound icon on the first slide. Alternatively, you can select "Slide Show" from the top menu and then "Change Slides". The setup menu appears on the right. Select the sound you want there and check the "Apply to all slides" checkbox. Make sure the format of your audio file is waw.
