There are three different types of PSP bricks. Depending on the type of breakdown in your case, you can choose the option of self-repairing the console.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - access to the Internet;
- - additional original battery;
- - card for flashing.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the problem with the Sony PlayStation Portable. Remember what the last changes you made to the software configuration of this device - firmware, copying games, installing custom themes in the internal memory module, connecting the device's internal memory to a computer when pairing with a USB cable, game errors.
Step 2
Also, remember if the battery fell out of the compartment when flashing the PlayStation Portable. All this and many other actions could lead to the emergence of a brick. In cases where you have a normal virtual device failure (associated with changes to the flash 1 memory module), restart the set-top box.
Step 3
If a static brick appears due to changes in flash 0 or flash 2, replace the system files by flashing the device. To do this, find a flashing program suitable for your model of set-top box and write it to a flash card of the supported size.
Step 4
Also purchase an original battery in advance for the purpose of flashing the device. After performing this operation, the brick must be corrected. If you have a PSP 3000 or PSP200x Slim model with a TA88v3 motherboard in the configuration, you cannot fix this kind of brick here.
Step 5
Please note that a brick created by mechanical impact on a portable game console cannot be repaired. It can also occur due to short circuits of internal devices, so if your console is under warranty, take it to check and find out the reasons for an examination in order to establish your fault or the manufacturer's fault.
Step 6
If a static brick occurs, use the services of service centers, since fixing it yourself can harm the system even more.
