Step 1
To ensure that the local disk is created correctly, you will need a special program. Download and install Paragon Partition Magic utility on your computer or laptop. When choosing a program version, consider the characteristics of your operating system.
Step 2
After the installation process of PartitionMagic is complete, restart your computer. This must be done in order for the program to gain full access to local drives. Run the utility in power user mode.
Step 3
You can add a new section only by dividing the existing ones. Therefore, prepare in advance the disk from which you will separate the new partition for this process. Please note that it is better to work with blank discs. Transfer all important information to other media and format the partition.
Step 4
Find the "Create Section" item located in the "Wizards" tab. Select the disk from which you want to separate the area, specify its future size and format. After finishing the detailed configuration of the characteristics of the future section, click "Apply". In the pop-up that appears, click Restart Now.
