Despite the outward primitiveness and simplicity, the Minecraft computer game is one of the most popular in the world today. However, many novice players face a number of problems arising from a lack of understanding of the principles of the game. For example, not everyone knows how to find a village with non-player characters (NPCs).

Why look for a village?

A village in Minecraft consists of several residential buildings inhabited by residents. In addition to the fact that many valuable resources can be found in the village, which is especially important at the initial stage of the game, the population of the village is also able to provide some assistance to the player. Representatives of various professions can enchant things, repair them, sell or buy rare items, and give tasks. However, in order to take advantage of all these benefits, the village must first be found, and in the huge world of Minecraft, this is not so easy to do.

There are several ways to find a village with relatively little time and effort. Basically, they are associated with the generation of a new world, the use of the so-called "grain of the world" and the mode of creativity. A Seed of Peace is a sequence of symbols that the game uses as a "base" to create the world. Worlds generated with the same grain will be exactly the same. You can find out the seed of the current world using the / seed command.

Search methods

Having learned the seed that was used to generate your current world (if you left the Seed field empty, the system itself "invented" a random sequence of characters based on the current time), you can create a similar world and enter it in creative mode. If, in addition to this, you set the parameter "super flat world" during generation, then in creative mode it will be quite easy to fly around the entire map, finding one or more villages. After that, you just have to write down their coordinates in order to find them already in your "main" world. When looking for a village, keep in mind that they can only spawn in deserts and plains.

Naturally, the sequence of actions can be changed: first, create a world in creative mode, remember its grain, find a village, and only then generate a map for the survival mode. In addition, on the Internet, you can find many grains of the world with the already known coordinates of the villages. In this case, the stage with the creative mode is not needed at all, but this option is suitable only for those who are just starting the game, since you will have to create the world from scratch. However, it can be a good way to make it easier for yourself to get started.

Finally, you can try to find the village using the "in-game" method, or rather, using a map. To do this, you need a compass and paper. Place the compass on a workbench (in the center) and surround it with paper, then take the resulting map in your hands and press the down arrow. If there is a village somewhere near you, it will be highlighted on the map in the form of geometrically correct shapes. You can also zoom in on the map: the diagram looks the same as in the case of its creation, however, instead of a compass, you need to place an existing map in the center of the workbench.
