User ID is an identification number assigned to the account owner of an Internet resource. If with most of the sites everything is more or less clear (the id is spelled out in the profile), then in social networks everything is more complicated. This is due to the innovation that allows you to change the page address.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the user's page on the VKontakte social network, look at the address written in the line. The numbers after the id and will be its identification number assigned during registration. If a word is written instead of id and numbers, the number will be more difficult to find out and in some cases impossible.
Step 2
If the function of sending a message to this user is available to you, click on the corresponding button under the avatar, but not with the left mouse button, but with the middle one, to open a dialog box in a new window or tab. Look at the address written in the line, it will be something like this: https://vkontakte.ru/write*******. Instead of asterisks, any numerical combination will be contained, this is the user id in the VKontakte social network.
Step 3
Open the list of friends, photo albums, notes, or videos of the person whose ID you want to find out. The address bar after the domain name of the social network will contain a text containing several consecutive numbers - this will be the id of this user.
Step 4
Please note that in some cases, the privacy settings set by a social network user may not allow you to view their notes, photo albums, videos, and friends list. There can also be a restriction on sending private messages or adding you to the black list of blocked users. In this case, you will not be able to find out its id.
Step 5
If you need to find out the user id on the Facebook social network, open his page and look at the number in the address bar. If it is replaced, click in the upper right corner on the button for sending a private message, copy the user id from the address bar. Please note that you cannot find out the identification number here by opening the friends list or other menu items of the user page.
