Visual bookmarks are a convenient option in the Yandex. Bar add-on. When you open a new tab in your browser, instead of a blank or home page, thumbnails of the sites you visit most often appear. If this option is not necessary, you can simply disable it.
Instructions
Step 1
To disable visual bookmarks, launch your browser. On the top menu bar, select Settings. From the drop-down menu select the "Add-ons" item, wait for the "Add-ons Management" page to load.
Step 2
Select the "Extensions" item on the left side of the page by clicking on it with the left mouse button, wait until a list of all extensions active for the browser is displayed. Select "Yandex. Bar" from the list and click on the "Settings" button on the right. A new window will open.
Step 3
In the "Yandex. Bar: Settings" window that opens, go to the tab called "Settings". Uncheck the box next to Show visual bookmarks when opening a new tab or window. Confirm your choice by clicking on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. Close the Manage Add-ons page.
Step 4
Visual bookmarks will no longer be displayed if you disable the Yandex. Bar add-on itself. To disable this add-on, go through the first two steps, opposite the line "Yandex. Bar" click on the "Disable" button. The browser must be restarted for the new settings to take effect. Close the browser window in the usual way, or select the “Restart” command that appears on the “Manage Add-ons” page.
Step 5
If you don't need to disable all visual bookmarks, and just want to reduce the number of thumbnails displayed on the page, open a new tab or window with visual bookmarks. In the lower right corner of the page, find the gear icon and move your mouse cursor over it. An inscription "Configure bookmarks" will appear, click on it with the left mouse button. The "Visual Bookmarks: Settings" window opens. Place a marker in the field with the number of thumbnails you need (2x2, 3x3, and so on). Confirm your choice by clicking on the "OK" button.
