Banners can appear after viewing suspicious sites, when you go to which a firewall or antivirus warns of their danger, they can be downloaded along with add-ons of various programs.

As a rule, banners do not collapse or close, blocking the workspace of the computer screen; moreover, many of them require refilling to receive a banner deactivation code. In no case, in order to remove the banner from the screen, do not send SMS to the short number indicated by the scammers. You still will not receive a code to deactivate the banner

A virus that has entered your computer in the form of a banner can have two degrees of spread. Depending on this, the solution to the problem of its elimination may differ in the degree of complexity. The virus can simply "hang" in the form of a banner image, preventing you from using your personal computer or laptop normally. A more complicated situation arises when a virus begins to encrypt information on a computer's hard drive, disguising itself as regular programs. At the same time, it blocks the action of antivirus and firewall, preventing them from detecting and removing themselves.

In the first case, you must invoke the task manager in safe mode. To call it, just right-click on the taskbar and select the appropriate menu. Or press Ctrl + Shift + Esc at the same time. In the manager menu on the Processes tab, look at the names of the most suspicious programs, remember them.
Step 4
Next, clean the registry from the viruses found. To do this, call the command line: Start-Run. If this command is hidden, then press the Win icon on the keyboard along with R. In the line, type the command regedit. Next, we look for questionable programs and delete them (Edit-Find). Reboot your computer. After rebooting, the banner should be removed.

If this did not happen, then the virus began to encrypt information on the hard drive. To remove it from your computer, you will need to use a useful utility called Live CD. With a disc with this program, you will be able to format your hard drive at a low initial level. Because the usual reinstallation of the operating system may not help you in case of encryption of the virus. Insert the disc with the program into the drive and restart the computer. When the screen displays the name of the manufacturer of your motherboard, press F8 to boot from disk. Then follow the instructions provided by the Live CD program, selecting the low-level format option.
