The peculiarity of sending video files lies in their rather large sizes, which sometimes exceed the limits set by postal services. The natural way to solve the problem is to split the video file into how many parts. There are also alternative options, for example, you can transfer video through file sharing services that can work with fairly large files.

Instructions

Step 1

Use a software program to split the video file into multiple parts. For example, if the WinRAR archiver is installed on your system, then right-click the file and select the "Add to archive …" line from the menu. As a result, the archiver will start and open the settings window on the "General" tab.

Step 2

Find the "Divide into volumes (in bytes)" label in the lower left corner of the tab. In the input field located below this inscription, you must specify the maximum allowable size of the parts into which the archiver should split the video file. To represent megabytes, add the letter m to the number - for example, 20 m.

Step 3

Click the "OK" button and WinRAR will create a multivolume archive in the same folder, consisting of files of the specified size. The original file will remain unchanged. To recreate a video file from the archive, the recipient will only need to double-click on any of the received files, the archiver installed in his system will do the rest.

Step 4

Send the prepared files by email in the usual way. If you are using any mail client installed on your computer, then after creating a letter and filling in all the necessary fields as usual, drag the first file of the multivolume archive into the letter editing window. Then send an email with an attachment and repeat this procedure for each subsequent archive file. If you use any online service, then log in, create an email in the web interface, fill in the required fields and find the attachment attachment link. For example, in the Gmail service, it is placed on the line below the "Subject" field. Click the link, find the first of the archive files on your computer, and click Open. Send an email with an attachment and repeat this procedure for the rest of the multivolume archive files.

Step 5

Another way to transfer is to upload a video file (in its entirety or pre-split it into parts) to a file sharing service and send a download link to the recipient. To do this, go to the service website and fill in the form fields. For example, on the iFolder website, the initial form consists of just one field and a Browse button. Click the button to locate the video file on your computer and click Open. After that, a second similar line will be added to the form - if you split the video file into parts, then repeat the search and open procedure for the rest of the parts.

Step 6

Click on the "Upload" inscription and the service scripts will begin the process of copying files from the computer to the server. This can take several minutes or even several tens of minutes, depending on the total file size. At the end of the process, a table will appear with a list of everything downloaded and a form in which you can specify a text description, attach a cover picture, set a download password.

Step 7

Fill in the required fields, as well as the field for entering your email address and captcha code. Then click the "confirm" link and the service will load into your browser the final page with download links, which should be sent to the recipient of the video file.
