The browser stores information about the sites visited. This is convenient if you have forgotten the address of a previously visited site - you can always find it in the magazine. If you visited the site from someone else's computer and do not want the other person to know which pages you visited, it is quite easy to remove the link from the journal.

Instructions

Step 1

Launch the browser in the way you are used to. Enter the Journal. To do this, in the "Log" item in the top menu bar, select the "Show entire log" command by clicking on it with the left mouse button, or press the Ctrl, Shift and H keys combination. A new window will open.

Step 2

In the journal dialog box ("Library"), select the period for which you want to display the visited sites - for today or yesterday, for the last week or for a month, by double-clicking the left mouse button on the corresponding line. Find the link you want to delete in the expanded list of sites, right-click on it. From the drop-down menu, select the "Delete this page" command.

Step 3

To remove from the journal a mention of a specific site (that is, all links to all pages of one particular visited site), right-click on any of the links to the visited site, in the drop-down menu, select the "Forget about this site" command. To delete history for a day, week or month, right-click on the required line in the left part of the window and select the "Delete" command.

Step 4

You can also use the top menu bar to remove links. To remove links for any period from the journal, select the item with the name of the current day, week or month in the left part of the window, place the cursor on any link from the journal in the right part of the window. Select the "Select All" command in the "Control" item, then give the browser the "Delete" command.

Step 5

To delete the links contained in the "Recently closed tabs" window of the "History" section, in the upper menu bar of the browser, call the "Erase recent history" command from the "Tools" section or press the Ctrl, Shift and Delete keys, a new window will open. Specify the period for which links to sites should be removed (several hours or a day), click the "Clear now" button.
