The list of web pages viewed by a user of a browser is called differently by manufacturers of different Internet browsers. Opera uses the term "browsing history". It is useful as it helps you find Web site addresses for which the URL has not been saved. Often, however, the user has the opposite need - to forget these addresses and force the browser to do the same. Clearing your browsing history in Opera is straightforward.

Step 1
Expand the browser menu by clicking on the button with the stylized Opera logo. Hover your mouse over the "Settings" label and click on the "Delete personal data" item in the subsection that appears. All this can be done from the keyboard, if the Russian input language is enabled: press the Alt key, then the button with the letter "t", and then - with the letter "y". In both cases, a small window will appear on the screen to delete the information collected by the browser.
Step 2
Open the additional panel of this window by clicking on the inscription "Detailed settings". It contains controls that you can use to tell Opera what to remove and what to keep.
Step 3
Make sure "Clear browsing history" is checked. If you want the elements of these pages stored in the browser cache to be deleted as well, check the box next to the "Clear cache" box. The same applies to cookies (item "Delete all cookies"). The marks in the remaining paragraphs - there are thirteen in total - place at your discretion.
Step 4
Click on the "Delete" button and the browser will clear the history of visits, as well as everything else that you specified in the previous step.
Step 5
The button for deleting the browsing history is also in the main settings window of Opera. To get to it, open the menu and in the "Settings" section, select the "General settings" item. These actions can be replaced by pressing the Ctrl + F12 keyboard shortcut, which also opens the settings window.
Step 6
On the "Advanced" tab, select the "History" section - it is placed approximately in the middle of the vertical list at the left edge of the settings window. To the right of the setting that sets the number of lines in the history of visits - "Remember addresses" - there is a button "Clear". Click it and all history entries will be deleted. The same can be done with the elements of pages stored by the browser, if you press the second button "Clear" - it is located below in the same section of the settings.
Step 7
Close the Opera basic settings window by clicking OK.
