Opera browser cache allows the user to reduce the loading time of some Internet pages. Cache configuration can be done without the need for additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Please note that the developers of the Opera browser do not recommend changing the settings for managing the cache in RAM.
Step 2
Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "All Programs" item. Start the Opera browser and open the "File" menu of the upper service panel of the application window. Go to "Settings" and select the "History and cache" section. Alternatively, you can open the browser settings dialog box by pressing the alt="Image" and P softkeys at the same time.
Step 3
Apply the checkbox in the "Enable automatic memory caching" line in the RAM section and enter the desired amount of disk space reserved for storing disk cache in the corresponding line. Confirm saving the changes made by clicking OK and restart Opera to apply them.
Step 4
Change the location of the persistent cache directory. To do this, open the "Help" menu of the upper service panel of the browser window and select the "About Opera" item. Determine the current cache location and type opera: config in the text field of the application address bar.
Step 5
Type cache at the top of the search form in the window that opens and find the line containing the value Cache Directory4. Change the path of the found parameter to the desired one and confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the "Save" button.
Step 6
Expand the main menu of the Opera application by clicking the button with the browser logo, and select the "Settings" item to clear the cache. Select the "Delete personal data" sub-item and click the "Detailed settings" button in the dialog box that opens. Apply the check box in the line "Clear cache" in the directory of the next dialog box and confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the "Delete" button.
