You can remove pagination by going to the header and footer area, the areas that are in the top and bottom margins of every page of your document. The footer usually displays text (page number, document title, file name, author's initials, etc.) and / or an image (for example, an organization logo), which should be affixed at the top or bottom of each page of the document.
Instructions
Step 1
You can go to the headers and footers by simply double-clicking on the page number. Or by right-clicking on the page number. Alternatively, choose the menu View - Headers and Footers. In the opened Headers and Footers panel, you need to select the header "Header" or "Footer" - depending on which part of the page the numbering of your document is located in.
Step 2
Select the "Delete" menu item and all page numbers in the document are deleted.
Step 3
Page numbering can also be removed in one more easy way: Insert - Page number - Remove page numbers. Either Insert - Header (Footer) - Remove Header.
Step 4
To remove the number on the first page of the document (from the title page), you need to check the "Distinguish first page headers and footers" option. To do this, go to the "File" menu, select "Page Setup", then on the "Paper Source" tab, check the "Distinguish first page headers and footers" checkbox. Another option: in the Page Layout menu item, select Page Settings, where we open the Paper Source tab and put a check mark in the "Distinguish first page headers and footers" item. The number on the first page (cover page) will no longer be displayed.
