To provide Internet access for two laptops at once, certain settings must be made. Naturally, between mobile PCs, you must first organize a local network and set up a proxy server.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the laptop to which the internet connection cable will be connected. It must be a powerful enough device, because its function will include the distribution of the Internet channel. Connect the cable to the selected mobile computer. Set up your internet connection.
Step 2
Now open the Network and Sharing Center. Go to the "Manage Wireless Networks" menu. To create a new connection, click the "Add" button. Click on the "Create a computer-to-computer network" item.
Step 3
Fill in the fields in this menu like this:
Network name - SSID Name;
Security type - WPA2-Personal;
The security key is password.
Check the box next to "Save this network settings". Click the Next and Close buttons.
Step 4
Now in the Network and Sharing Center, open the "Change adapter settings" menu. Open the properties of your internet connection by right-clicking on it. Go to the "Access" tab. Check the box next to "Allow other network users to use this connection." Now select the newly created wireless network.
Step 5
Open the properties of this laptop's wireless network adapter. Configure the Internet Protocol TCP / IP (v4) with a static IP address of 176.176.176.1. This adapter will act as a proxy server for the second laptop.
Step 6
Turn on the second mobile computer. Open the menu of available wireless networks. Connect to the network created on the first laptop. Open the list of active networks. Configure this wireless adapter by opening the TCP / IP (v4) properties. To do this, specify the following parameters:
176.176.176.2 - IP address;
255.255.0.0 - Subnet mask;
176.176.176.1 - The main gateway;
176.176.176.1 - Preferred DSN server.
Check the internet connection activity on both laptops.
