Choose the Wi-Fi router that suits your needs. You should not buy expensive equipment if you do not need a large coverage area of the wireless access point or you do not plan to connect many devices to it. Check for a DSL connector if you are using the correct Internet connection.

Purchase the equipment of your choice. Connect the Wi-Fi router to an AC power outlet. Turn on this device. Connect the ISP cable to its WAN (Internet, DSL) connector. Connect desktop computers to LAN ports. Use network cables for this.

Turn on one of these PCs and launch your internet browser. Open the web interface of the Wi-Fi router. To do this, enter its IP address in the field of the Internet browser. Go directly to the WAN (Internet Setup) menu. Configure the connection to the server. To do this, set the parameters recommended by your ISP. Be sure to check the username and password values. Save the settings for this menu.
Step 4
Go to the wireless access point setup by opening the Wi-Fi menu (Wireless Setup). Specify the name of the network, select its mode of operation and the type of security. Naturally, it's better to use relatively new security protocols if your laptops can work with them. Save the settings for this menu. Reboot your Wi-Fi router.
Step 5
Wait until the network equipment is fully loaded and the connection with the provider's server is established. Check the Internet access on the computer from which you configured the router. Turn on the rest of the PCs and make sure they get online.
Step 6
Turn on laptops and connect them to a wireless hotspot. If you have correctly selected the parameters of this network, then all mobile PCs will immediately have access to the World Wide Web.
