A reserve slot is a special slot on the game server, created so that a certain player or a group of players can enter it even in case of overflow. This option is useful for administrators, and if your server is popular enough, then it can be paid.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - installed game server СSS.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the folder with the installed Counter Strike game server to create a backup slot. Next, find the mani_cerver.cfg file. It is a configuration file that stores all of your server's administrative settings, usually located in the Cstrike / cfg directory. Open this file with any text editor such as Notepad.
Step 2
Edit the configuration file to install the spare slot on the game server. Find the line Mani_reserve_slots in the file. Set it to a value of one to activate the reserve slots, or zero if you want to remove this option.
Step 3
Configure the spare slots on the server. To do this, in the mani_reserve_slots_number_of_slots line, enter the required number of them. Then go to the line mani_reserve_slots_kick_message. After it, in quotes, indicate the message that will be shown to the user in case of refusal to use this function.
Step 4
Find the line mani_reserve_slots_redirect_message. In quotes, enter the message that will be shown to the user if he is redirected to another server. Then, in the slots_allow_slot_fill line, define the mode in which the spare slots will be filled. If you specify a value of 1, then they can be filled, that is, the server may be full. If set to zero, then there will be a prohibition on filling the slots. Thus, if the administrator enters the reserve slot on the server, an ordinary player will be kicked.
Step 5
Set the kick_method line to the kick method of the players. Specify the unit to determine the connection time kick or zero to set the ping condition. Observers will be kicked out of turn anyway. Set slots_include_admin to one to automatically allocate spare slots to administrators. Specify zero to disable this option.
