Step 1
Explore the capabilities of your graphics card. Look at the number of ports for video transmission that are located on it. Typically, video adapters have two or three video outputs: S-Video, VGA, and DVI (HDMI). If you need to connect four monitors at once, each of which will work separately, then purchase an additional video card.
Step 2
There is an option for sharing the video adapter built into the motherboard, if any, and a full-fledged discrete video card. Connect the additional device to the motherboard. Turn on your computer and install the software for your new video device. It is better to use video adapters from the same manufacturer, or even better - identical models. This will avoid hardware conflicts.
Step 3
Connect all the monitors you need to your graphics cards. Naturally, certain cables and ports are required. Each video card will use one digital and one analog port. Choose a set of monitors that you can use with your computer.
Step 4
Press the "Start" key and open the "Control Panel" menu. Select the "Appearance and Personalization" menu and select the "Connect to an external display" item, which is located in the "Display" menu. In the window that appears, you will have four screens. If there are fewer of them, then click the "Find" button and wait for the definition of new displays.
Step 5
Select the collaboration options for your monitors. You can group them in pairs or use each one individually. Select the monitor, which will be the main display, and activate the corresponding item. Now, select the icons for the other three screens and select the "extend my desktop onto this monitor" option. Save the settings.
