Any computer has an operating system, without which it will never work. The most common systems are Windows, Linux and Apple Mac Os. Windows is the most common system on our computers and the most popular.
Windows operating systems
When the computer boots up, the operating system starts to load first. This starts right after you press the power button. First, the computer tests it and then starts it up. After the system has booted, it begins to manage all processes in the computer and all the programs that are installed in it.
Microsoft has released many versions of Windows. They were both good and bad. Let's dwell on the three most popular systems that are now on most personal computers.
Operating system WindowsXP
Despite the fact that this system was created a long time ago, it is still in demand. This is due to its simplicity, convenient and understandable interface, low requirements for computer resources, and finally, over the years, consumers have become accustomed to it. Since its inception, three service packs and a great many pirated assemblies have been released. During the years that XP dominated the market, many software and games were released that were best adapted to this system.
The disadvantages of WindowsXP include the lack of a large number of settings that are now in other systems. But most importantly, since the spring of 2014, Microsoft will no longer support this platform and WindowsXP will gradually disappear from the hard drives of personal computers. Although system enthusiasts will most likely continue to release their versions.
Windows 7 operating system
Windows 7 is the first most successful version after XP. It was published after Windows Vista, which was severely obstructed by both ordinary users and professionals. In this system, some rough edges of WindowsXP have been fixed, and many nice and convenient features have appeared. Convenient management, clear and friendly interface, ease of installation and the required number of drivers that can be downloaded from the Internet immediately. It is not for nothing that today on more than half of computers with Windows, there is exactly seven.
The disadvantages of this system are the same that remain with Windows from version to version. This is, first of all, vulnerability to viruses and hacker attacks, as well as standard freezes and "garbage" that the system collects after working on the Internet. The system requirements of the 7 are quite acceptable, but require more disk space than XP.
Windows 8 operating system
This is the latest version of Windows so far. At first, it was received with hostility, and above all because of the unusual interface, which was significantly different from all previous versions. The appearance was created as for touch equipment, and the "Start" button so familiar to everyone has disappeared. There was constant talk about program glitches, its inconveniences and not improving.
Gradually, however, there was less and less critical talk about the G8. Users began to get used to the new appearance and appreciated some of the system's innovations. However, in terms of popularity, it has not yet been able to surpass Windows 7. At the same time, the Windows 8 operating system is excellent and is used on tablets and devices that use touch screens.
Microsoft is moving forward and continues to develop new systems. The appearance of Windows 9 is not far off. It remains only to accept and evaluate the new program, time will tell what happened with its creators.
