FLAC is a codec that is designed to save audio files in uncompressed form to ensure maximum quality and transfer their original sound. It makes sense to play this file format only on high-quality sound-reproducing equipment.

Instructions

Step 1

Try playing the flac file with your DVD player. Most modern dvd players are equipped with universal firmware, which includes a huge number of codecs that support most of the existing audio and video files.

Step 2

Burn the flac file to a laser disc or USB stick (if your dvd player has a usb connector). If no speaker is connected to the dvd player, i.e. Since it reproduces sound exclusively through the TV, it makes sense to use usb to connect it to the computer (if an acoustic system or speakers are connected to the computer, which reproduce sound clearly better than the built-in speakers of the TV).

Step 3

Download and install the KMPlayer program on your personal computer. It is a versatile multimedia player capable of playing flac. Select advanced installation, expand the list of codecs. Some of them are checked by default. FLAC, unfortunately, is not one of them. Find it in the list, check the box next to it and complete the installation of the player.

Step 4

Launch the player, load the flac files into the playlist and enjoy the original sound. Keep in mind that for this you need a good speaker system, or at least good headphones. The thing is that the records of this format cover a huge spectrum of frequencies, which is much already in the records converted to another format. Accordingly, high-quality equipment is needed to transmit such a spectrum. If you do not have one, then there is no point in playing such files, since you will not feel the difference between them and ordinary mp3.

Step 5

Convert flac to mp3. To do this, you need the Format Factory program or any other program with similar capabilities. To preserve some of the sound quality of your recording, use the highest sample rate when converting. In this case, the mp3 file will "weigh" much more, but it will also sound much better.
