Modern music lovers prefer to listen to music in flac format on a computer. The sound quality of tracks recorded in this format is an order of magnitude higher than when using the mp3 format.

Necessary

  • - CUE Splitter;
  • - Sound Forge.

Instructions

Step 1

Use CUE Splitter to split a flac track into separate parts. Download it from https://www.medieval.it/sw/cuesplitter_setup.exe. Install this program and restart your computer.

Step 2

Pre-configure the parameters of the program. This will save you time in the future. Open the "File" menu and select "Configuration". Open the "Tag" tab and uncheck the "Write tags in Unicode format" checkbox. Open the "Miscellaneous" tab and under "Default character encoding" select "01251 (ANSI - Cyrillic)". Click the "Accept" button to save the settings.

Step 3

Reopen the File menu and select Open CUE. Specify the flac file to be split into parts. Wait while the program lists the individual items that make up the flac file.

Step 4

Check the boxes next to Add Gaps and Invert Gaps. Click the "Cut" button and select a folder to save the received items. Wait for the program to finish executing operations. As a result, you will get several flac files and two playlists in different formats.

Step 5

This program does not include the function of artificially extracting sections of the track, that is, you cannot set the boundaries if you need to select not the whole track, but only part of it. Use Sound Forge to highlight the desired item.

Step 6

Open the File menu and select Import File. Remove unnecessary elements using the render bar. Press the key combination Ctrl and S. Enter the parameters of the future file. Be sure to select the flac format and the original bit-rate value. This is necessary to maintain the original sound quality.
