Translation in the form of subtitles is often found in foreign films. Some directors even consider it preferable for their films not to translate into other languages by voice, but only by text. Not every moviegoer will enjoy this approach, especially when words cover a third of the screen surface. But you can almost always turn off subtitles.
Instructions
Step 1
Start a movie or video in which you want to turn off text translation. Most often, files are opened by double-clicking, and the operating system itself launches the program associated with this type of file. When the video appears on the screen, right-click on a free part of the image.
Step 2
Find the Subtitles or Subtitles menu item and hover your mouse over the item. A submenu will open, in which find the marked line "Show subtitles" or Show subtitles. Left-click on this line to turn off the text output to the screen. In most cases, this is sufficient. For example, the described method works in the GomPlayer program.
Step 3
If you are using KMPlayer, follow exactly the same steps. The only difference is that the sub-item in the Subtitles menu is called Show / Hide Subtitles. In the English version of the player it looks like Show / Hide Subtitles.
Step 4
In another popular application for viewing video materials, Media Player Classic, you need to right-click on the image, select the Subtitles line from the menu and expand the submenu. In the submenu, you will see several lines of options, of which the most important is Enable. Uncheck this item.
Step 5
Open the program with which you watch movies or videos. Find the Settings or Options button to display the playback settings menu. Click this button and select a section related to subtitles. It can be referred to as Subtitle Handling, Subtitle or Subtitles Options. On the right side of the settings window, you will see many different options and options, among which there will be a checkbox "Display subtitles" or Enable subtitles.
Step 6
Uncheck this box and save the settings - for this, there is a Save or Save button at the bottom of the window. Now this program will not output text translations for any files. The only exception is the subtitles embedded in the video, the so-called "hardsaby". They are part of the image and cannot be disabled by any means.
