Step 1
To exclude certain folders or files from scanning by the Avast antivirus program, you need to enter the settings of the file system screen. Go to the menu "Security - Antivirus - File system screen".

Inside the file system screen, click the "Settings" button, then select the "Exceptions" tab. By clicking on "Browse", you will see the contents of the hard drive. Select exclusions by double-clicking the required folders or files and clicking OK. Confirm your choice in the next window by clicking on OK again.

To add URL links to exclusions, you need to go to the script screen settings. Go to the menu "Security - Antivirus - Script screen".

Inside the scripts screen, click the "Settings" button, then select the "Exceptions" tab. Select the Exclude URLs checkbox, then click the Add button. In the line that opens, enter a link to the resource that you want to exclude from scanning. Click "Add" and OK to confirm your selection.
Step 5
If you want to remove files and folders or URLs added to exclusions, you can do this by ticking the file or folder or URL in the corresponding screen and clicking the Remove button. Then you need to click OK to confirm the operation. In case of an error, click the "Cancel" button.
Step 6
You can temporarily suspend the antivirus if necessary. Click on "Manage Avast Screens" and select the desired shutdown interval.
