Surely the owners of personal computers know that you can easily install two or more operating systems on your PC. Unfortunately, in the case of certain operating systems, conflicts can arise that can lead to loss of data and inoperability of the system.
Windows 7 and Windows vista
Windows 7 is one of the most popular operating systems. This is primarily due to the fact that it consumes a minimum of system resources (on a par with Windows XP). Secondly, the graphic design of this shell is pretty good, many times better than in previous versions. Windows vista, unfortunately, did not find such wild popularity, but nevertheless, some users tried to improve the performance of this operating system in any way, that is, to increase the performance indicator. This was the main drawback in Windows vista.
How to install Windows 7 and Windows vista on the same computer?
Surely every PC user asked the question: "Is it possible to install Windows 7 and Windows vista on one computer and will there not be any conflicts?" There is only one answer to such a question - it can be established, it is only necessary to adhere to a certain order. The fact is that if a newer version of the Windows operating system is installed on the computer, in this case Windows 7, then installing an older version can lead to data loss, or the entire system will become completely inoperable. This is due to the fact that earlier versions of operating systems of the Windows family are simply not able to recognize some new files, and as a result they overwrite them and the system may crash.
As a result, in order for Windows 7 and Windows vista to be installed on the user's computer, it is first necessary to install the second OS. The installation does not contain anything new in itself. It can be done either through the installed graphical shell, or through the BIOS. It is worth noting that it is best to erase all information from the hard disk, including the version of the operating system, and save the necessary files, for example, on some removable media. First you need to go into the BIOS. This is done when the computer starts, using the Del or F12 button, depending on the computer model. Next, you need to go to the Boot tab and select Boot Device Priority. A new window will appear, where you should change 1st Boot Device from hard disk to optical drive. After the settings are saved and you can insert the installation disc.
The user needs to follow the instructions for installing Windows vista and wait for the process to finish. After the first operating system is installed, you can start installing another, namely Windows 7. As a result, the computer will have two operating systems, between which you can easily and easily switch.
