Instructions

Step 1

To configure font anti-aliasing, open the Control Panel from the Start menu. In the Appearance and Themes category, select the Display icon or any of the tasks in the list. If your "Control Panel" has a classic look, select the "Display" icon right away. The "Properties: Display" dialog box opens.

Step 4

In the dialog box that opens, go to the "Appearance" tab and click on the "Effects" button located in the lower right corner of the window. Place a marker in the "Use the following anti-aliasing method for screen fonts" box. In the drop-down list located just below, select a method - normal or ClearType.

Step 5

Click on the OK button in the "Effects" window - it will close. In the "Properties: Display" window, click on the "Apply" button to save the new settings. Wait for the system to apply the new settings. Close the properties window by clicking on the OK button at the bottom of the window or on the X icon in the upper right corner of the window.
