If you are not interested in this or that Windows desktop theme, you can quite easily take care of the selection of each of its components to create your own interface style. The created theme can decorate not only your personal computer, but also computers of your friends. It can be shared and distributed. The Windows 7 operating system has the widest possibilities in terms of creating your own desktop theme.
Instructions
Step 1
Right-click on any blank area of the desktop. In the context menu that appears, select the "Personalization" tab. A window with ready-made desktop themes will appear in front of you. Click on the line "Desktop Background". Another window will appear. Choose the most suitable picture in it. Above you will see the Browse button. Click on it to get access to the use of files stored on your personal computer during this operation. Select one or more pictures to create a desktop theme.
Step 2
Find the line "Change images every". You will need this if you have selected several pictures from the list. In this line, set the time interval that will correspond to the period of changing images on the screen of your monitor. Find the line "Change desktop background" in the lower left corner of the window. Select the background you want and click the "Save Changes" button. Next, select the color of the window by clicking on the corresponding line. A menu will appear in front of you. Set its transparency in the "Window color" column. Click on the line "Additional design options". This will help you create a unique desktop theme. After selecting the necessary parameters, save the changes.
Step 3
Select the Sounds tab to customize your desktop theme. Choose the default Windows skin or rebuild it to your liking. After choosing the desired sound design for the theme, save all the changes. Next, select the "Screensavers" tab. Click on the arrow. A list of screensavers will appear in front of you. Choose the most suitable one, and also set the period of time after which it will appear. Find the theme you created in the My Themes window. Click on the line "Save topic", after giving it a name.
