Instructions
Step 1
Turn off the computer and remove the side cover of the system unit, which gives access to the computer components. To do this, you will need a screwdriver to unscrew some parts of the system unit. In some cases, you have to remove some of the components. All operations must be performed with the power turned off, otherwise you risk damaging your computer. Remove dust on components with a brush and vacuum cleaner. Gently brush off the dust with a brush and immediately "pick up" the dust with a vacuum cleaner. This way you will not pollute the air and the room and will not damage the components.
Step 2
If the motherboard is not visible under the wires and boards, disconnect the interfering wires and pull the boards out. Do not remove the cooler over the processor - there is still no serial number there. Remember in what places, which wires were connected, so that later everything can be easily returned back.
Step 3
Take a close look at the white decals on the motherboard. Most often, the sticker is attached to one of the ports on the back of the motherboard from the inside of the case. Just in case, rewrite all the stickers on a piece of paper so that you do not have to repeat the procedure if the number does not work.
Step 4
In rare cases, identification stickers are placed by an unscrupulous manufacturer on the back of the motherboard. In this case, you will have to remove the board itself if the housing fixing does not allow you to see its reverse side. It is also worth noting that when buying a personal computer, all boxes and documents are given to the buyer.
