Microsoft Word allows you to perform various operations with the text - to enter, edit and design, depending on the user's needs. Using a text editor Word, you can insert various files into your document - charts, tables, graphs, and multimedia.
Instructions
Step 1
To insert a graphic file into MS Word 2007, load the program, open the document and position the cursor in the area where the picture should be located. Click on the "Insert" tab. In the "Illustrations" group, click on "Picture".
Step 2
In the "Insert Picture" window that opens, select the image you want to insert and click on the corresponding button ("Insert"). In MS Office 2003, to insert pictures, click on "Insert" → "Picture" → "From file" and then select the picture. If necessary, change the parameters of the picture: its position, size, etc.
Step 3
To add a video clip or music file to your MS Word 2007 document, go to the "Insert" tab and click on "Clip". In the right pane, click on "Arrange Clips". Then open File → Add Clips to Organizer. Select a video clip or song. Left-click the file and drag it into the document.
Step 4
Also, a clip or music in MS Office 2007 and 2003 can be inserted using "Insert" → "Object" → "Create from file" → "Browse". Select the media file and click "Open", then "OK". The file will appear as an icon. When you double-click it, you will be prompted to open it or embed it first and then open it.
Step 5
To insert a font into Word (which is also a file), press Win + R and type Fonts, or open Start → Control Panel → Fonts. Drag the font you want to install into the folder. Restart Word - close the program and open it again. Select from the list of fonts the one you have installed and want to use.
Step 6
If you need to insert data from the MS Excel table into a Word document, select the data that you want to insert from Excel into the document. On the Home tab, click the Copy button from the Clipboard group (for MS Word 2007) or press Ctrl + C (for MS Word 2007/2003). Place the cursor in your Word document where you want to insert data. Paste using the shortcut Ctrl + V.
Step 7
Click the "Paste Options" button next to the data and put a full stop on one of the four possible commands: "Keep Source Formatting" (the data will be presented as a MS Word table), "Paste as Picture" (the data will be inserted as a picture), " Preserve Original Formatting and Link to Excel "(to link to Excel data that will update when changed) or" Preserve Text Only "(to present the data as text).
Step 8
Insert a chart from MS Excel according to the scheme described above. Use the "Paste Options" to edit the appearance of the chart: "Chart" (the inserted chart from Excel will communicate with the original document), "Excel Chart" (you will be able to access the entire Excel workbook), "Paste as Picture" (the chart will be in the form image), "Keep original formatting" (the original format of the chart will be used).
