Instructions
Step 1
In order for a site visitor to view your video, you need to convert it into one of two formats - *.swf or *.flv. To do this, you should use specialized programs - for example, Free Video to Flash Converter.
Step 2
Download and install the program, run it. Click the Add Files button and select your original video. The program supports a very large number of formats, including the most popular: *.avi, *.mpeg, *.mpg, *.mkv, *.div, *.divx and others.
Step 3
By default, the name of the output file will be the same as the original. You can specify the name of the future file you need, and a window will open in which you will see all the parameters for specifying the name.
Step 4
To select the folder in which the final file will be saved, click the "Browse" button and specify the required directory. Click OK.
Step 5
From the Formats drop-down list, select the file type you want - SWF or FLV. To be able to control video playback on the site page, select the FLV format.
Step 6
Click the "Player" button and in the window that opens, select its parameters - type and color. The player's appearance will be shown on the right side of the window. Click OK.
Step 7
Click the "Convert" button and wait for the process to finish. Since the conversion process can be quite long, the option to turn off the computer after the end of the conversion is available.
Step 8
Open the folder with the conversion files and upload the following files to your site: player_flv_maxi.swf, start_frame.jpg, get_video.flv, get_video.xml. They must be located in the same folder as the site page on which the video will be played.

Now after opening the page, you will see the player window. Its parameters can be changed by editing the get_video.xml file.
