The main and very common problem when playing high definition video on computers is the lack of system resources. The processor simply does not have time to process the signal coming from the carrier. Because of this, the video playback turns into a kind of slide show. There are several ways to fix this problem, including installing third-party software.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - the latest version of PowerDVD;
- - high definition video from blu-ray media.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the PowerDVD program from the developer's official website. Follow the instructions of the software installation wizard to complete the installation process on your computer. It is best suited for playing high-definition video, despite the fact that in addition to it there are many other applications - among them it is the simplest and has an intuitive interface, while almost not taking away system resources for its work.
Step 2
Open the PowerDVD program, familiarize yourself with its interface, if you have any preferences in the settings, change the application settings for more convenient and familiar ones. Using the menu items "File" or "Video" add the video you need to view. After that, the computer will still "slow down", however, there is nothing to worry about, just go to the next step.
Step 3
Turn off recording playback for a while. Right-click on the screen, select "Settings" and then "Video." Check the box next to Enable Hardware Acceleration.
Step 4
If your computer has an ATI Radeon graphics card, open the adapter settings and enable the ATI Avivo feature. In fact, this is also available for video cards from the manufacturer Nvidia, but not all models support this function. These are mainly new generation video cards. The same applies to older ATI models. When this setting is enabled, playback of the recording should be as smooth as possible, since the decoding function is performed directly by the video card itself. When playing videos from media in the form of Blu-ray discs, the processor used a maximum of 20% of its power, but now it works at full capacity, at the same time preventing strong heating of the video card.
