Adobe Photoshop is one of the most popular graphics editors. However, it takes up a lot of space on the hard drive, is demanding on computer performance and is rather difficult to learn. For users who are not going to work professionally with graphics, but sometimes want to edit their photos, a lighter photo editor, for example, PhotoFiltre, will be enough.

Instructions

Step 1

Download PhotoFiltre by following the link https://photofiltre.free.fr/download_en.htm. Install it. If you want, you can download the Portable version, which does not require installation and can be run from flash drives and other portable media. PhotoFiltre weighs about 4 MB, which is ten times less than Adobe Photoshop. Download the Russification file (Russian) on the same page. It will download in the archive - unzip it. Go to the folder where the program was installed (usually it is the C: / Program Files / PhotoFiltre directory) and copy the TranslationRU Russification file there. In this case, delete the TranslationEN file

Step 2

Now run the program - the interface will be displayed in Russian. Select an image for processing: "File" -> "Open". In order to paint a certain element of the photo with a certain color, you must first select it. To do this, the program has several tools - you can see them in the right panel. You can select an area of a specific color using the Magic Wand tool (change the tolerance to adjust). In addition, there are several other tools available. Click on the arrow icon "Selection" - below will appear the tools "Lasso", "Polygon", "Rectangle", "Ellipse", etc.

Step 3

An example of a selection using the "Lasso". Click this icon and move the cursor over the item you want. In this example, the leaf of the flower is selected.

Step 4

Right click on the selection and click Fill. Check the box next to Fill. Select the desired color in the palette, specify the transparency (the more transparency, the less bright the fill color). Choose a style or texture as desired. If you do not want to see the border around the selected element, uncheck the box next to the "Border" item. Click OK.

Step 5

If everything suits you, go to the "Selection" tab and click "Select all" - the change will take effect. You can colorize the entire photo in the same way.

Step 6

If you do not want to use a selection, then simply paint the image using the Brush, Graphics Brush, Border tools.
