Practice shows that in Counter-Strike, as a rule, the winner is not the one who shoots better, but the one who behaves more correctly and cunningly on the field. Obviously, it is almost impossible to conduct a more or less serious tactical maneuver without a radar that gives a minimal view of the battlefield.
Instructions
Step 1
Check your settings. The presence of the radar is primarily determined by the corresponding checkbox of the "Options" -> "Interface" menu, which you can set at any time during the game.
Step 2
Use the console. Open the main settings window and check the box next to "Activate console". Go into the game (better in single player, so that you are not distracted) and press the keyboard key "tilde" (~). The command line that appears is used to enter internal commands: in your case, you will need drawradar and hideradar - in fact, turning the radar on and off. In addition, the cl_radartype # command is useful, where # is 0 or 1 - the transparency mode for the minimap is enabled or disabled.
Step 3
If the radar does not work after entering the console commands, download the hud.txt file for the Counter-Strike game from the Internet. Obviously, your copy was damaged or accidentally replaced with a defective one. Place the new file in the game / cstrike folder.
Step 4
Install cheats. Among others, such as wallhack or aimbot, you will find the RADAR cheat showing both your allies and enemies on the map. Obviously, this provides an invaluable tactical advantage, but at the same time, it is dishonest in relation to other players. In order to install the radar, download the RADAR modification to your computer and unpack it into the horse folder with the game. Run the.exe file and remember the key that activates the cheat. Open the game, go to the server, and then click the desired button - red dots will immediately appear on the radar, indicating opponents.
Step 5
You can improve the radar by changing its skin. To do this, download the archive with the new radar image and unpack it to any place convenient for you. There should be several.spr files inside. Place them in the / cstrike / sprites folder located in the root directory of the game. If the names of some files match, delete the old versions (if you wish, you can create a backup copy for recovery). If the specified folder does not exist, create it yourself.
