If you create an image of the operating system using Acronis or its analogs, there is a problem with binding the system to the computer hardware. In particular, this applies to computers with a pre-installed distribution kit.
Instructions
Step 1
Before imaging your current operating system, make sure you have removed the device drivers. Otherwise, the image will be written exactly for the configuration that is available now and when you replace a certain device, an error will appear in the components of your system unit. Also, the use of the image will not be available for other computers, the hardware configuration of which, of course, is different.
Step 2
Open your computer's control panel and find your sound card driver in the list. Uninstall it, then proceed to uninstall the driver for video cards, modems, webcams, printers, and so on. The last one to uninstall is the motherboard driver.
Step 3
After restarting your computer, open the Program Files folder on your local drive, and then delete the folders of the device drivers you uninstalled from your computer.
Step 4
Clean the operating system registry. It is best to restore it to its original state, but if you do not have this opportunity, just search for the entries with the name of the drivers you removed. Please remove them, but be careful, as doing something with the registry may affect the operation of the Windows operating system.
Step 5
Restart your computer, and then create an image of the operating system using Acronis or any other similar software.
Step 6
After that, check the copy you created for binding to the computer hardware by inserting the disc into the drive of another computer and performing the necessary steps to install the operating system and recognize the computer's configuration. If the distribution kit does not recognize the computer, it is quite possible that you did not uninstall DirectX if it was installed earlier.
