Typically, text documents are output from the printer on one side of the paper. However, sometimes it becomes necessary to print text on two pages of a sheet. To do this, the word processor Microsoft Word, like most powerful editors, provides a duplex function. Moreover, in the presence of the latest printer model, two-sided output of the entire document will be automatic.
Instructions
Step 1
Open a text document in Microsoft Word. In the main menu, select the "File" item and then the "Print …" sub-item. Or press the "Ctrl + R" keys to perform the same action. The print dialog box appears on the screen.
Step 2
Specify the necessary settings for the document output mode in this window. To do this, in the drop-down list, select a printer for printing connected to your computer system. If there are no ready-made devices for output in the list, search for a printer using the "Find printer" button. From the list of available devices found, select the most recent printer model, if possible.
Step 3
In the print dialog box, select the duplex check box marker. Specify in the “Pages” block the required range of pages of the document to be printed on paper. And in the "Number of copies" field, specify the required number of copies. If desired, mark additional print options using the Options button.
Step 4
Click the "OK" button to start printing. Sometimes the technical capabilities of the installed printer do not support self-printing on both sides of the paper. In this case, after the output of one page, an information window will appear on the screen informing you that you need to turn the sheet over and reinsert it into the tray. Complete the required actions and click the "OK" button to continue printing.
Step 5
Next, the second page will be printed on the sheet. If the printer supports self-duplex printing, the entire document prints without your input.
